Son of Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu has already taken giants strides in becoming a footballer.

The eldest son of the late footballer, Joshua has won his first trophy and shows signs of inheriting his father’s talent.

In a photo shared on social media by the partner of Atsu, Marie-Claire Rupio, the youngster is seen with a golden trophy, celebrating his success.

“Will make his dad proud,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

Joshua also met Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson in one of his visits to the St James Park.

Atsu tragically died following the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023. The 31-year-old was pulled out of rubble 12 days after the disaster.

The former Chelsea forward scored the winner for Hatayspor in his final game before his painful demise.

His body has been transported to Ghana ahead of his burial and final funeral rites.

Atsu’s death has left Ghanaians in a state of mourning, with tributes continuing to pour in since he was found dead.

He played 65 matches and scored nine goals for the senior national team of Ghana.
