Enrique, 52, is a high-profile manager who’s been out of work since leaving the Spanish national team last December.
The Spaniard is most recognised for his successful time as Barcelona manager, winning nine major trophies during a few years in charge at the Camp Nou.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Substack, Enrique wants to be back in work “as soon as possible”.
He claims that the 52-year-old isn’t in conversations with any club yet, but he’d love to manage again in the near future.
Sport recently claimed that Chelsea could be a possible next destination for Enrique.
He’s never coached in English football before, so it would be great to see him join a Premier League division that already has some of the world’s elite managers.
His preferred 4-3-3 system is a formation that has seen his previous sides attack quickly and keep the ball, but could he replicate that against Premier League opposition?
In our view, Enrique is a top-class manager that Chelsea fans would quickly learn to love. Let’s refrain from too much conversation while the manager’s dugout remains filled at Stamford Bridge, though.
